Apartment Fun

“Apartment Fun,” is a  3-D pop art print featuring some of the most fun and whacky neighbors anyone could possibly have.

Check out the two kids playing telephone and the old married couple talking about their favorite TV show.  The lovable dog in the bottom window seems as happy as can be.

The apartment building is rendered in 2-D, while each of the individual, detailed windows are in 3-D.

The piece is is hand signed and measures 8×6″ unframed.

It’s the perfect piece of decorative artwork to give as a gift or to hang in your own home.

PopsicArt Featured on Cultural Compulsive Disorder Website

When I'm not busy creating pop artwork, I can be found surfing the internet looking up various pop culture related websites.  I guess I like things that "pop."

While there are millions upon millions of websites out there dealing with pop culture, one of the most enjoyable is Cultural Compulsive Disorder.

The site covers a wide variety of topics and its writing is humorous and witty.  In simple terms: the site is extremely enjoyable.

As such, it filled me with great pleasure to learn that Cultural Compulsive Disorder had a write up on PopsicArt.

Whenever you get a free moment (or a month's free time to thoroughly read through all the website's content) go over to Cultural Compulsive Disorder and you'll see just how entertaining the site is.

Back in Asbury 4/2

It brings me great joy to announce that I have been invited back to Asbury Park as their featured artist for April's First Saturday Event.

I will be in the same location I was in earlier this month.

Shoppes at the Arcade
658 Cookman Avenue
Asbury Park, NJ 07712
11 am - 10 pm

I had a wonderful time displaying and selling my 3-D Pop Artwork at the Shoppes this month. I can't wait to do it again on April 2nd.

Of course I'll have both my pictures of Tillie and Bruce Springsteen available.  They are Asbury Park staples!

If you are in the area be sure to stop by and say "hi."

If you can't make it you can always find the latest PopsicArt online.

I hope to see you on April 2nd.

Ramones Artwork

“Aey oh, let’s go.”

The Ramones are without a doubt one of my top 5 favorite bands of all time.

I know they are known as one of the founders of punk rock but whenever I listen to them I hear a heavy Beach Boys influence in their work.  I know, call me crazy but listen to "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend," "Rock N' Roll Radio" or even "Sheena is a Punk Rocker" and you can clearly hear the influence of the Beach Boys' Brian Wilson and Mike Love.

Whenever I display some of my musician artwork such as Jerry Garcia or John Lennon at shows and stores, one of the most popular requests I get is for a Ramones piece.  Well, here it is...

Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee and Tommy Ramone are featured in their very own 3-D pop artwork. It’s the perfect gift for music lovers and punk rockers. The artwork is hand signed. It comes framed and ready to hang.

Dimensions: 10×10″ framed

Asbury Park Art Fair Photos

Thank you to everyone who came out and visited the PopsicBooth at the Asbury Park Art Fair this past weekend. It was great to see so many familiar faces and it was a pleasure to meet so many new faces.

We had a great time and my artwork was a huge hit.

I'm sure this comes as no suprise since the Art Fair took place in Asbury Park but the Tillie piece was the most popular piece sold last weekend.

That's the PopsicWife helping me at the fair on Saturday.  My Mom was nice enough to come with me to for the show's opening Friday night, while my brother David helped me out on Sunday.

I plan on participating in a few more art shows this year and I hope they are just as successful as one in Asbury Park.
